This is a full set of 18 original artwork cards highlighting the first of five "retirement shows" at the Winterland Arena on October 16, 1974.
The cards feature original artwork by Kampground Designs (@kampgrounddesigns on IG). The back of each card features detailed notes on the performance, song stats, Dead trivia, and listening notes.
This collection includes the cards for Bertha, Jack Straw, Deal, Mexicali Blues, It Must Have Been the Roses, Beat It On Down the Line, Scarlet Begonias, the last full-band Me & Bobby McGee, Tennessee Jed, a hot Cumberland Blues, Row Jimmy, and the set closing Playin' in the Band. Set 2 includes the epic jam suites for Seastones > Jam > Wharf Rat > Jam > Eyes of the World and Truckin' > Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad > Uncle John's Band, sandwiching Big River and Ship of Fools. The show closes with Johnny B. Goode and U.S. Blues (punctuated by a birthday serenade for Bob Weir).
Each card is printed on heavyweight #150 stock with a 5mil matte laminate front and matte UV coating on the front and back, capturing the look and familiar feel of premium collectible cards. Set is housed in a clear plastic trading card collector's box.
